Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout

Those of you that have been following me a while know how much I love milk stouts, and this is no exception. It has excellent hints of coffee along with the classic milk stout flavor. It is slightly flatter than some beers, which goes well with the flavor. It’s sweet and full and slightly bitter at the end. Excellent.

  1. Hi! I was searching for this beer and ran across your post…have you found the Split Shot Espresso Stout anywhere recently? Elysian only brewed it for Beer Week last year and no longer sell it anywhere. If you know of a place where I can still find it, that would be amazing! Thanks!

  2. Hi Sarah, thanks for writing! I don’t actually remember where I got this one, but I do most of my beer shopping at 99 Bottles, occasionally picking one up at Total Wine, Full Throttle Bottles, or the grocery store. I’ll keep an eye out for it, but since it’s not stout season anymore, it may be a while. Hope this helps in your search for delicious beer!

  3. Fantastic! Thanks for the info! I will check those places out. Also, if you haven’t tried it yet, the Cafe Vita Coffee Stout from Bluebird Microcreamery and Brewery is really good :)
