Handprint by Meg Lyman
6×6″ gouache on Gessobord
$40 - e-mail to buy
This painting was done without brushes. The only tools were my hands. That’s one of the beauties of gouache - most colors are non-toxic and don’t have anything nasty in them, so you can fingerpaint! Maybe not a masterpiece, but really fun to do.
More on the WIP this weekend.

I love it, Meg. It just says “art.” I can see this on a business card, art fair poster, or corporate logo for the company that makes your paint. I can’t believe you’re not hanging this in your studio.
I hope I put those quotes in the right place. ;)

Lisa, thanks! It is pretty logo-ish. You see lots of handprint logos, but with the 6″ limitation, I had to choose a crop. I just sort of smacked my hand down, but I like how it turned out.
Angela, thanks for your comment! Painting with hands made me feel 3 again. ;)
